U.D.: THE TRANSPORT

A continuciación te mostramos la unidad didáctica "The transpor" programada para Conocimiento Bilingüe de primero de primaria.

Vocabulary:
means of transport.

Structures:
We all use different means of transport. Who has been on a bus / plane....? Let’s name them. What type of transport is this?

METHODOLOGYGrouping:

Projector, Power Point, Flashcards, Wordcards, Worksheets

Activities for mixed level groups:

>Consolidating and updating activities:
Match the means of transport flashcards with the corresponding wordcards. Worksheet: colour the different types of transport in three different colours representing land, sea and air.

Further development activities
Using the picture dictionary find and draw other means of transport and classify them.

Extracurricular activities:


ASSESSMENT

Assessment proceedures:
Identification of the communication media shown on the wordcards; Classification of communication media shown on the flashcards chosen at random ; Correction of worksheet.

Assessment tools:
Flashcards; Wordcards; Worksheet; Final assessment sheet.

Final Unit Assessment:
Two activities included in the End of Unit Assessment: (1)Label the different means of transport by drawing an arrow; (2) Classify the different types of transport using a different colour to circle each one.



SESSIONS / ACTIVITIES:
- Power Point Presentation: We all use different types of transport (1); We use transport by land. Look. This is a lorry / bus / car / train. Who has been in a lorry / bus / car / train? (2); Let’s name them again. What is number 1 / 2 ...? (3); We use transport by sea. Look. This is a sailing ship/ / canoe / boat / ferry. Who has been in a sailing ship / canoe / boat / ferry? (4); Let’s name them again. What is number 1 / 2 ...? (5); We use transport by air. Look. This is a balloon / plane / rocket / helicopter. Who has been in a balloon / plane / rocket / helicopter? (6); Let’s name them again. What is number 1 / 2 ...? (7) Let’s classify them again. What type of transport is the lorry/ train.....? (8)
- Game: Place all the flashcards face down on the table. Pupils try to find the card corresponding to the wordcard drawn at random.
- Game: Place the flashcards and the wordcards face down on the table. Pupils turn over one of each trying to find a matching pair.
- Remember the names of the means of transport and their classification by repeating the last activity of the Power Point Presentation.
- Worksheet: (1) Write the names of the following means of transport, (2) Find the following words in the word puzzle; (3) Classify the means of transport by circling each picture using the corresponding colour.
